XT9 wins at King of Whiteman, Australia |

Last weekend was the second and final round of the King of Whiteman 2016 (KOW), the aggregate pointâ™s winner from the two events would be crowned 'King of Whiteman'. I ran both events with Buggy and Truggy using the XB8'15 and the XT9.
In the first round, I struggled to be on the pace with the front runners in the Buggy A Main, finishing 9th. A couple of pitstop flameouts didn't help.
In Truggy however, I finished 2nd behind one of Australia's best, Steve Smith. It was a solid run and I was really happy going into round 2.

Into the 2nd round, I managed to qualify 3rd in Truggy and 5th in Buggy giving me a good chance for the Mains.
In Buggy, I got off to a great start managing to gap the 2nd and 3rd place cars for the first 10 minutes of the race, then a pitstop flameout let Josh Pain catch and pass.
For the rest of the race, I tried to stay in the battle with Kyle Francis and Steve Smith, but only managed to keep a good gap from 5th, Fabio Silvi.

| In the Truggy A-main, I got off to a strong start at the front with Fabio Silvi, trying to get a lead out from Kyle Francis. Again, a pitstop flameout with the fuel gun lost me a few precious seconds allowing Kyle to get closer. For the the last half of the race, I had an awesome battle with Fabio Silvi, due to poor tyre choice it was a battle for 2nd. On the 5th last corner, Fabio crashed and I got past to take 2nd. |

Shout out to Harry Sims, who did a fabulous job finishing 4th yesterday in the Truggy. He's definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with in the near future.
Really happy to have such a good result through the KOW rounds of 2016.
